Symposium information

The typical Symposium of the Purine and Pyrimidine Society (previously, European or International Symposia for the Study of Purine and Pyrimidine Metabolism in Man) takes place in odd-numbered years (last in 2017, next will be held in 2019 in Lyon, France, and will be organized by LP Jordheim). The programme [of about three days] includes free communications in the form of short oral presentations or posters, and a small number of invited lectures. All sessions are plenary. English is the common language.

All interested investigators are invited to submit an abstract for one or more presentations, through the registration procedure for the symposium. Abstracts are reviewed by the Scientific Committee, and finally assigned to oral or poster presentation. All accepted presentations are then eligible for publication in the Proceedings as a short publication of 4 pages (free communications) or 8 pages (invited lectures) in the journal Nucleosides, Nucleotides and Nucleic Acids.

The conference/symposium includes free time for meeting other participants, some social events, such as a walking tour or boat trip, and a Conference Dinner.
